Is this Conference open to non-members of the Church?
Yes! Anyone who is single and over 30 years of age can attend, but you must maintain church standards.
Can I come if I am separated but not yet divorced?
No. The conference is only open to people who are not married. Divorces must be final.
How large of an area geographically is this Conference drawing from?
We had participants from 20 States and Canada at the 2009 conference. Attendance will probably be similar this year. We welcome people from anywhere in the world.
I can’t come for the whole weekend. Can I register for just a portion of the conference?
We encourage those who cannot attend the entire conference to still register and attend when they are able. Sorry, but we can not offer reduced prices for those who are unable to attend the entire conference.
No, scholarships are not offered to defray the cost of the conference. If financial asistance is required, it is recommended that individuals refer the matter to local leadership for consideration.
Is any transportation provided?
We will be relying on volunteers to help transport people to the service project and the Temple on Saturday, and to the church historic sites on Sunday. No other transportation will be provided.
Are you arranging for us to stay in members' homes?

Where is the conference going to be held?
Much of it will take place at the Kirtland Stake Center. The Saturday service project will be offsite, as will be the historic tours on Sunday. On Saturday evening, we will meet in the Temple.
What is the cost, the deadline to register and is there a price discount for early registration?
$50 for the early birds, $60 after August 13, 2010.
How many people are you expecting to attend the conference?
We are planning for 250 people to attend, but the number could go higher. There is no cap at this point, although there is only room in the Temple for 250 people.
Do I need a Temple recommend to attend the Kirtland Temple?
No.
Is the Kirtland Temple wheelchair accessible?
The Kirtland Temple is not wheelchair accessible, but we will have several brethren and young men available to assist any in wheelchairs up and down the front steps. Once inside the temple, wheelchairs are not a problem.
Will there be any language translations available for any parts of the conference? If so, which languages?
If translation is needed, please specify the language by e-mailing info@kirtlandsaconference.org and provide your name and contact information.
What are the dress recommendations for the conference?
Sunday dress is expected Saturday evening in the Kirtland Temple, and all day Sunday. Work clothes are suggested for the clean-up service project on Saturday afternoon. Business Casual is suggested at other times. Click here for further information about church standards of dress and appearance.
What if I don’t want to do a service project?
The service projects are on a volunteer basis. We hope that you will enjoy being a part of this service, but it is not required to attend the conference.
Can I receive a refund if I've paid, but am unable to attend the conference?
We will issue a refund if you notify us at least 7 days before the start of the conference.
